About The Project
Thinking of the topic, I immediately had 2 thoughts, crimson blood and crimson hair. I knew I wanted to somehow draw an image that represented both.
As I have come a long way in my healing recently I have become more aware of my strategies in particular how I keep people at a distance by making sure I look unattractive, hence the 300lb plus weight. This project has attempted to demonstrate this making the unbearable bearable by changing ones appearance.
I chose to actually put the abused figure reflected in a mirror, hence putting her at a remove, one step safer, safer for me that is.
The room and shears are vector drawn, and the figure drawn with the paintbrush and airbrush tools.
